North State Telco Credit Union was chartered on December 2, 1955 for the employees of North State Telephone Company, Buck's Communications, Inc. and members of their immediate families living under the same roof. There were 109 original members. At that time, the Treasurer could make loans of $25 without approval of the loan committee! We've come a long way since then! Who Can Join?
Membership in North State Telco Credit Union is open to employees of North State Communications, Buck's Communications, Inc. and North State Telco Credit Union. Membership is obtained by opening an individual Share account with a minimum deposit of $5. Once you've established your membership, you're always a member regardless of retirement, or subsequent employment as long as you maintain a minimum $5 balance in your Share account. In addition, once you are a member, your family is eligible to join. That means they're eligible to take advantage of all the valuable financial services we offer. Tell them what you like about us and invite them to join.
